Oldie is made by Situated Strategies LLC. It started with one dog.

Bambu

Bambu is a galgo, a Spanish sighthound. He came to me at five and a half years old through SAGE, Save A Galgo Español, a nonprofit that rehomes galgos from Spain in the United States. Galgos are bred for hunting and many are abandoned at the end of each season.

An older dog has supplements in the morning, eye drops at night, a weight to watch, a vaccine certificate the boarding place asks for, and two people who both give the pills and both forget whether they were given. The apps I tried were built for puppies or for one person. I wanted a shared list. Oldie is that list.

I run Situated Strategies, a small studio, and I research how people coordinate everyday care. Oldie applies that work to dogs and the people who look after them.

A few rules

Plain words. Large controls. The same information for everyone in the household. No noise. When your beloved senior passes, the memories stay in the app.
